Basically, the basketball drills on our site are broken down into different areas, such as ball-handling, shooting, rebounding, etc... These are geared more for coaches looking to do things with their team. So, you could run these in practice, with anywhere from 4 to 12 players. Personally, we like combination drills that address a variety of skills and improve conditioning, such as a drill that forces players to rebounds, hit layups, and run up and down the court. Or, a ball-handling drill that involves passing and shooting. These types of combination drills offer you the most bang for your buck.
The basketball tips are for individual players, and these are broken down into different areas such as dribbling, passing, rebounding, shooting, conditioning, and more... Many of these tips give you pointers on how to do certain things, such as keeping low on defense, or spreading your fingers wide when taking a shot. Ther are also drills that you can do in your spare time by yourself or with a partner.
As for the basketball plays, these are for coaches and they are complete with diagrams and descriptions for easy understanding. The two major categories are offense and defense, and within each category we have several formations that you can pick from. Most offensive formations can be categorized into either a "free-style" or "controlled", and most defensive formations are either a "matchup" or "zone". Based on your team's skills, athleticism, and size, you have to determine which type of offense and defense would work well.
